There is so much talk going on all over the "tubes" lately about what Wes Clark said and meant.
To get a little perspective about how Wes Clark feels about Obama and what he has been saying about McCain, try reading his own words from his personal blog at WesPAC.
After reading his words and understanding where he is coming from, then listen to what he has to say. Check out all of the video and audio from the last few days by going here:
All appearance times are subject to change. We suggest tuning in at the top of the show.
General Clark will also appear Tuesday morning on ABC's Good Morning America. See:http://securingamerica.com/node/3001 for details

ABC News reports that due to the high cost of fuel the price of shipping a container of goods from China to the US has almost tripled causing some companies are moving their factories from China back to the US.
Jobs Coming Home? You can watch the video but it's in a flash window so I don't think I can directly link to it. If you go to this link ABC's flash player will pop up. Then click on World News, then World News Reports, then on the video titled "Made in America."
Corporate television is having a near total news blackout on Iraq and Afghanistan. Reporters covering the wars have gone on record saying the networks have put war on the back burner, according to the NY Times.
For example, take Lara Logan, the chief foreign correspondent for CBS News. She joked with Jon Stewart on The Daily Show that she has to threaten to kill her bureau chief with an armor-piercing RPG in order to get her stories on the air. Sure, she was joking, but was she?
"If I were to watch the news that you hear here in the United States, I would just blow my brains out because it would drive me nuts," Ms. Logan said.
How little coverage of our nation's wars appear on the three network evening newscasts?
On this morning's edition of Imus In The Morning, Don Imus claimed that his remarks yesterday about Adam "Pacman" Jones were widely misinterpreted. He says that his comments were sarcasm and that he meant to insinuate that Mr. Jones had been arrested six times because of racial profiling.
This is a kind of difficult situation to read. Obviously this was going to be Imus' defense whether legitimate or not - but I think it boils down to one thing. If he DOESN'T KNOW who Pacman Jones is it very well might not be racist. But if he DOES KNOW who Pacman Jones is it seems clearly racist. Sorry I-man but this particular African American is not the victim of racial profiling - Pacman is just a legitimately crazy dude that seeks out trouble. I mean honestly, who makes it rain at a Vegas strip club and then makes a scene to get the money back??
Anyways, I don't really know whether to believe Imus or not but here is the full audio of his defense. Give it a listen and weigh in with your own thoughts and opinions:
This morning on Don Imus' radio program the controversial host seems to have done the unthinkable. When hearing about Adam "Pacman" Jones, the troubled NFL cornerback who missed the '07 season due to suspension... Imus asked:
"What color is he?"
re: "He's African American"
"Well there you go... now we know"
This was in response to hearing that Adam "Pacman" Jones had been arrested six times, involved in various nightclub altercations etc.
So what do you think about this latest gaffe from Imus? Is it "nappy headed ho" all over again? Do you think the comments were racist? (they certainly appear to be.. and I actually don't mind Imus in general)
Here is the audio clip - weigh in with your own thoughts and opinions:
They neglect to mention that 90% of Obama's war chest IS public financing. 90% is from donations of $1000 or less! Count on Olbermann to make that point tonight on Countdown.
Charlie whines like a little two-year old asking if Obama's decision is "fair." Was it fair in '04 when the Repugs were flush with cash? Was it fair when they stole Ohio and before that Florida? It's our turn, bitch! Deal with it and stop spreading your whiny little propaganda. This isn't a question of unfairness. It's a question of justice. Now bite me!
Today on The View, future first lady Michelle Obama guest-hosted the show. Below are all the video segments from the show. The often criticized but always confident and well spoken Michelle did a good job on the show.
She was asked a lot of tough questions but seemed to handle them with grace under fire (much like her husband). Anyways, I'm just going to share the videos below and allow others to weigh in with their own thoughts and opinions:
Last night on ABC News Charlie Gibson sat down with Senator John McCain and asked him point blank "are you the underdog?"
John McCain responded by saying that he is the underdog and that in fact he is surprised that the polls are as close as they are considering where the Republican "brand" is currently. I completely agree with Senator McCain on this point - why aren't the Democrats winning by 15% right now? We have maybe the least popular President in the history of the country running the show with an imbalanced and receding economy, a disastrous war without end, one scandal after another in the White House....
Yet a Senator who voted with that very same President 95% of the time is running virtually dead even with Barack Obama at this point in time. How is that possible? Or should I just throw up my arms and say 'hey, we elected George W Bush twice... nothing we do makes any real sense'?
I'm curious to hear what others think about this -
There are some items up on News Unfiltered that may interest the community.
The DNC talks to ABC about the decision to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations:
Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean and DNC Rules and Bylaws Committee Co-Chair Jim Roosevelt discussed the Rules and Bylaws Committee's decision to seat the Florida and Michigan delegations yesterday and Democratic Party unity this morning on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos.
I'm not even going to search if this is up - are you kidding me? After ALL that has happened the press wants to pin this on the moron?
"His (GWB) reading of the 'secret' memos "we" (as in we members of the exhalted 4th estate) were not privy to" is some sort of protection?
Are you kidding me again; to claim that none of the information from Hans Blix (who was practically begging - no one there remembers that?) that we pursue additonal ground inspections - "hell no" get the f out of there before you become our first Wilson "yah, before that Wilson?"
I am practically vomiting thinking that Bro Caw imagines himself as not complicit in this - and lets bring all the Hillary stuff up now "hey Jimmy are we gonna get a feed on the latest PR poll?" (puerto rico or public relation my lickspittle?")
For the major stations (CBS,NBC and Abc?) to claim some separation from the defining moment in our nations complete clusterf!*%& is unconscienceable.
"HIS" - my ass, you enabled, acquiesced (and for the new catch phrase of the week) appeased this monstrosity -------upon children.
I'm sorry - new at this, but it seems that Brokaw wants cover for "Scrowcroft, CIA insisted", "everyone would like to go back" ad nauseum - HE should have gone up against the "opaque world"
So says this gem of an article by Peter Hart at Fairness in Accuracy and Reporting (FAIR). The Press Corps’ Unshakeable Crush on McCain, whose title I borrowed for this diary, is the most comprehensive and well-researched piece I have found in exposing the media's unconditional swooning over John McCain, Maverick.
You knew it all the time, but you ain't gonna believe some of the stuff you're about to read below the fold.
It's rare for me to have anything good to say about the mainstream media, and even rarer for me to watch a "reality show," because "reality television" isn't.
But after seeing it promo'ed Saturday night, I determined that a reality show that was going to air Sunday night was going to be "Must-See TV." Because I knew it would have socially-redeeming value. I have only kudos for the show, ABC, and all who contributed to it for because it was heartwarming and inspiring to see and left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling.
This Poll was posted earlier. But the previous post, only gave brief outlines. But for those, who can't read the whole 17pg ABC poll. I just wanted to highlight a few excerpts right here! You won't regret my companion post, or the ABC/WAPO Poll. I'd like to thank, Max NYC, for his original post earlier.
Don't let the media dictate, false talking points.
In general election matchups, Obama leads McCain by 51-44 percent, similar to the last
two ABC/Post polls. Standings in a Clinton vs. McCain race are 49-46 percent, again
roughly similar to previous ABC/Post results.
Obama also leads in electability vs the struggling Clinton. The ABC poll states, Obama maintains his 12 point lead from ABC previous polls 53 to 41%
Democrats by a 12-point
margin would rather see Obama as the nominee, a lead that’s held steadily in ABC/Post
polls since early March. Instead it reflects a rejection of the notion that the drawn-out
contest will hurt the party’s prospects.
